San Rafael Twilights A Success!
With 13 teams traveling to the North Bay for the first meet of the 2008 season, Foothill should be extremely proud of the showing put forth by those athletes in attendance! From first year rookies to multi-year runners, Foothill had a very impressive showing in San Rafael. The team was led by the sprint relay teams, as the Foothill A team took second in the girls sprint medley in a very fast 1:51.85 (less than 2 second behind first place Skyline). The teams decided to exact a little revenge on the Skyline team, and the coed 4x200 relay team came out blazing, finishing in a speedy 1:40.35 to take first place away from Skyline. Great handoffs helped contribute to the win, as the team won by a narrow margin of just .11 seconds!
Not to be outdone, the distance medley teams also held their own. In races that included distance favorites Skyline, Casa Grande, Gunn and Petaluma, the boys team A took fifth in 11:01.0., while the girls team A took 15th in 14:38.4.
